How the Slot Finder works

The finder narrows our whole catalogue down using three things: the kind of theme you're drawn to, how you'd like a game to play, and any specific features you're after. None of it is a guess — every answer is matched against our own data for each published demo, the same data shown on every game's own page.

"How should it play?" is really asking about volatility: how often a game pays out, and how big a typical win tends to be relative to a dry spell. A "frequent small hits" game keeps a session moving in small steps with few long gaps; a "rare big moments" game pays out less often but can swing much bigger when it does. Neither is better than the other — it's a matter of what you find more fun to watch play out, and it has nothing to do with a game's RTP (its long-run average return), which is tracked separately on every game page.

Themes here are grouped into broad families — ancient worlds, animals, horror and so on — rather than the dozens of individual tags studios actually use, since most visitors are picking a mood rather than a specific tag. Pick as many families as you like, or none at all if theme doesn't matter to you this time.

The result screen shows our closest matches, ranked by how many of your answers a game actually satisfies, then by how popular it is on the site. If nothing matches every answer exactly, we quietly relax the least important one first (how new it is, then features, then how it plays, and only then theme) rather than showing you nothing. "Shuffle" re-rolls the same answers for a fresh set; the link in your address bar always restores the exact result you're looking at, so it's safe to bookmark or share. New to some of the terms used here? The glossary covers volatility, RTP and the rest in plain language.
